One of the areas that we’re putting a lot of thought into is how to best present PixelSquid images so that we maximize the quantity and discoverability of useful variations of an object or scene, while at the same time making sure that images with only subtle distinctions don’t clutter one’s search results. Currently the plan is to combine minor variations of images of the same object within a single listing, so that if one were to search for “Cartoon Crab” for example, only significantly unique cartoon crabs would come up in one’s search results. If you clicked on one of these crabs it would bring you to a product page where you would then be presented with other helpful variations - like a blue version, a red version, a happy version, a sad version, etc.
How will you handle multiple variations of an object or image?
